Congratulations on taking such a big step in your healing journey! Hi, my name is Damian Robinson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing psychotherapy in the Houston Texas area. My passion has always been to help individuals reach positive and progressive change by supporting one in identifying and removing the emotional barriers that prevent those changes from happening.
As you know, navigating life can be extremely difficult, and often, one may need support but also have no idea where or how to get it. Starting with therapy is a huge step that will have a lasting impact on your life, and those lives around you.
My clinical background expands from working with teens and adolescents, to young and middle-aged adults, adapting to life changes. I have been practicing as a licensed therapist since 2020, however, I have been on the ground, supporting children, families, individuals, and at-risk communities for the last 10+ years.
My ideal clients are those who struggle with anxiety, depressed mood, adjustment issues, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship conflict, identify/sexuality/coming out, traumatic experiences, and work-related stressors. My practice is also culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ competent and affirming. Know that here, you belong!
Working together, we can unpack those emotions that are typically challenging, yet freeing, develop coping mechanisms for your daily stressors, and create life goals that will help guide you in reaching the highest expression of who you are meant to be.
