Profile Questions

Imagine your ideal client. What are their issues, their needs, their goals? What do they want and why?
My ideal client is one who may or may not know what their issues, goals, or even needs are! Whether my client has a direction they want to follow or feels completely lost, I am willing to guide them to find their desired path or help boost them on their already chosen path. My ideal client works with me as a partner, one who is willing to give it their best shot and is open to the idea of change. The one goal I want all my clients to achieve, is just getting into the therapy office. I understand how difficult it can be to make that first step, but I guarantee that once you make that first step into the office, you will learn things about yourself that you did not know previously.
How can you help? Talk about your specialty and what you offer.
I am Cognitive Behavioral Therapy oriented and love individual and family talk therapy. I like working with my clients to identify negative thoughts, patterns, and behaviors and help them turn them into more positive ones. I specialize in anxiety and depression and hope to be EMDR trained in the near future to further direct my specialty into trauma.
Build empathy and invite the potential client to reach out to you.
I know what its like to feel trapped in that bubble. To feel like you cant escape and you are constantly walking on a treadmill with no end goal or direction in sight. Thats where I come in to help you figure out how to pop that bubble and step off that endless treadmill. If you are in need of help, please reach out. My clients describe me as:
Compassionate and easy going. Likes to use humor in session and is not afraid to touch on the deep, dark topics that clients bring up. I like to create a very comfortable and safe atmosphere where you can freely be yourself! No judgement here!
Something to know about my approach is:
I bring a lot of logic and rationality into the session. I like to challenge my clients and will be honest about what I am seeing or hearing. I like to help my clients learn their patterns and maybe develop more positive ones!
Together we will:
Get you to where you want to be.
I specialize in working with people who:
Need help, lost their direction, feel confused, or may be at the darkest point in their life.
I became a therapist because:
I wanted to make sure that no one had to grow up and suffer with mental illness like I did. I want to show others that there is a better way and that you can get better. I have been where you are, I know how hard it is to reach out that hand for help. Sometimes we have to face our fears and embrace change to truly grow as a person. You can do it, you have always been able to.
